The third edition of the Cervino Matterhorn Ultra Race will take place on the weekend of July 26-28, 2024. The event, featuring the iconic Matterhorn and traversing trails in Italy and Switzerland, shifts forward by seven days compared to the initially announced date at the conclusion of the previous edition. This decision was made to avoid scheduling conflicts with other events.

In addition to the new date, there are exciting developments at the foot of our iconic mountain. The 173 kilometers (12,100 meters of positive elevation gain) can now be tackled individually, just like in past editions, or as part of a relay race for pairs. In the second option, the first participant will start from Breuil-Cervinia and stop at the aid station in Zinal (74 kilometers), where they will hand over to their adventure companion, covering the final 99 kilometers back to Breuil-Cervinia.

The second update concerns registrations, which will open at 8 am on Friday, December 8, with promotional rates available only during the initial period. Until the end of the year, individual participation will cost 280 euros, increasing to 340 euros from January 1 to March 1, and then to 380 euros. For the team race, two rates are offered: 280 euros until March 1 and 380 euros until the registration deadline, including private bus transportation both ways between Breuil-Cervinia and Zinal.

All other events in the program are also confirmed. At the end of July, athletes can choose from the 55 kilometers of the Ultra Trail Cervino Matterhorn, similarly designed between Italy and Switzerland, as well as the Trail K28 and Trail K16. Registrations for these three events will open in the early months of the new year.
